The Rustic Look.

Treasure map style?

Pop-Up Ideas

Hey Girls, iv written the content for each dilemma that we are going to focus on, which i will show you tomorrow when we meet. The examples above show experiments on how we might show the pop-ups in the website. I like the torn edged effect as i think it would work well with the style we are going for, but i will work on more ideas aswell. Let me know what you think about the language i have used, as iv tried to be informative but funny at the same time...hope it has worked!

basic background

basic idea for the background postcard scene..not finished! Mixed layers of sandy coloured screen prints with two of my holiday photographs and some air mile stamps.. we could photoshop the outlined 'dangers' (i.e outline of luckylucky man!) onto the beach scene..

Illustration/Collage

Here are some illustrations by an artist called Sarah Hanson. The first one is wierdly similar to a sketch i did of the postcard idea, with the handwritten message from a postcard and the air mile stamps on a scene below the plane. I like her use of relevant visual language, e.g: clocks at different times from different countries, maps, air mile stamps. I quite like her style of ink mixed with bits of collage which is like how we discussed the style will be. I think an interesting layered background would be good to combine our illustrations. We could use bits of maps for texture, air mile stamps, screen prints etc. What do you think? www.sarahhanson.co.uk

Came across the website www.sensoryworld.org very fun and interactive as well as being user friendly. Has a childish look to it even though it is meant for adults which I quite like. Thought we could go for this kind of approach for our website, what do you think??

Below left is the home page for the website, you can then click on the door and it zooms in (like this idea) then enters the door into the room. Thought we could use this idea for sections on our website such as the aeroplane, then zoom in, then enter etc etc.

Interactive sites

Showed you guys these already but i'll put them up anyway..
I like THIS
(put sound on)
and THIS is alright  (wait until the character appears at bottom of screen, then drag him along... it scrolls along the scene like we had talked about...)  or we could have it going into the distance as we're thinking of scenes on a plane, beach and sea... speak tomorrow anyway :)

Researchage.

Hey girls, hope the researching is goin well, check out this link to a holiday site, its got a good navigation technique, simple and easy to use, let me know what you think...and also if you have found any other sites, would be great!
